As a writer, you already know writing is 10% Creativity and 90% Research.  As a result, when looking for information online, a lot of websites pop-up through search engines.

While searching for the origin of the 5 Ws and 1 H (Who, What, When, Where, Why and How) using DuckDuckGo search engine; Wikipedia  came up first, and in the content, there was a cute poem attributed to Rudyard Kipling:

I Keep six honest serving-men:
       (They taught me all I knew)
     Their names are What and Where and When
       And How and Why and Who.
     I send them over land and sea,
       I send them east and west;
     But after they have worked for me,
       I give them all a rest.

According to Wikipedia’s contributors, Kipling is not the originator of the 5 Ws and 1H, but he used the reference in his tale “The Elephant’s Child.”

Now, every good writer knows to verify their information by comparing and contrasting through a minimum of three independent sources.

Therefore, after using Wikipedia as a source for the quote in the Elephant’s Child, the search led me to look for the actual story which contained the quote.
